Estate planning includes the preparation of trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. Ms. Layman can prepare documents to help people plan for their own incapacity or death. She also assists executors through the probate process and the winding-up of estates after a friend or family member dies.
Persons who need to petition for guardianship or conservatorship of an individual with diminished capacity due to dementia/Alzheimer’s should consult Ms. Layman. If you have a child who suffers from a mental disability and they are approaching the age of eighteen, consider whether you should remain his/her legal guardian.
